Christopher Horncastle charged over Leeds care home abuse

A 40-year-old man has been charged with the abuse of residents at a privately-owned care home in Leeds.

Christopher Horncastle, a former employee at the Vivian House care home on Brunswick Street in Morley, has been charged with five counts of ill treatment or wilful neglect.

Mr Horncastle is due to appear before magistrates in Leeds on 10 July.

Vivian House is home to up to 31 residents aged 65 and older, including some who suffer from dementia.

It is owned and run by W&S Red Rose Healthcare.
