Normanton death: Ryan Carruthers murder accused appears in court
A man has appeared in court charged with murder following the death of a man at a flat in West Yorkshire.
Simon Stewart, 21, is accused of killing 31-year-old Ryan Carruthers in Normanton on Sunday.
Mr Carruthers' body was found by police on a balcony at a flat in Smirthwaite View.
Mr Stewart, of Castleford Road, Normanton, was remanded in custody by Wakefield magistrates to appear at Leeds Crown Court on Thursday.
Meanwhile, detectives have urged a man seen with Mr Carruthers outside the Junction Pub in Normanton at about 01:00 BST on Sunday to come forward.
West Yorkshire Police described the man as white and in his 20s, with short, dark hair.
