IPCC inquiry over fatal shooting in Bradford drugs raid

The police watchdog is investigating how a man came to be shot dead during a drugs raid in Bradford.

The 49-year-old, who has not been named, died at an address on Buckingham Crescent in Clayton on Thursday.

Unarmed officers with a warrant were at the property when a struggle took place with the man, resulting in a firearm being let off.

The Independent Police Complaints Commission (IPCC) said a post-mortem examination was being carried out.

A spokesman said: "The IPCC is also liaising with members of the deceased man's family."
