Pair charged after boy's body found in Bradford

A 42-year-old woman has been charged with manslaughter, child neglect and preventing the burial of a corpse after the discovery of a young boy's body.

The woman has been charged along with a 24-year-old man who is accused of preventing the burial of a corpse, the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) said.

They were arrested after the the body of a four-and-half-year-old boy was found in Bradford more than a year ago.

Police were called to a house in Crofton Road in September 2011.

Malcolm Taylor, from the CPS, said the charges followed a lengthy and complex investigation by West Yorkshire Police.

He said both defendants would appear before Bradford magistrates on March 12.
