Leeds man charged with teenager's knife murder

A man has been charged with the murder of a teenager who was stabbed to death in Leeds.

Kieran Lee Butterworth, 17, was found with multiple stab wounds on Back Seaforth Avenue, Harehills, on Tuesday. He died at Leeds General Infirmary.

A West Yorkshire Police spokesman said a 27-year-old man from the Woodhouse area of Leeds who was arrested on Wednesday had been charged with murder.

He is due to appear before Leeds magistrates on Friday.
