Clement Desmier stabbing: Man charged with murder

Clement Desmier Police said Clement Desmier was well known in Bradford and Shipley.

A man has appeared in court charged with murdering a former musician who was stabbed to death in Bradford.

Clement Desmier, who was known as Butch, was found dead at his home on Rowlestone Rise on 23 August. He had been stabbed more than 40 times.

Derek Newby, 63, of Rimswell Holt, Ravenscliffe, was remanded in custody by Bradford magistrates.

He will next appear at the city's crown court on 21 February. Four other men arrested on Sunday remain in custody.
