Bradford Royal Infirmary uses robot for surgery

Help

A robot is to be used by surgeons to carry out bladder and prostate operations.

The machine at Bradford Royal Infirmary (BRI) means the surgeon, who can see a 3-D image, does not have to actually touch the patient on the operating table.

Conducting operations remotely with the robot can improve a patient's recovery time after an operation according to the BRI.
