Cash raised in honour of climber John Taylor
Money raised by friends and family of a Yorkshire climber who died in an avalanche in the Alps has created a "lasting legacy", a charity said.
John Taylor, 48, from Upper Poppleton, near York, died on 12 July 2012 on Mont Maudit, along with 47-year-old Steve Barber and Roger Payne, 55.
Mr Taylor volunteered as a dogsbody to help train dogs for the Search and Rescue Dog Association (SARDA),
The charity has now been given £2,500 to buy new training equipment.
