Police name Darryl Kerr as fatal assault victim

A man who died after an assault in Leeds has been named by police.

Darryl Kerr, 43, from the Whinmoor area of the city suffered head injuries in an incident outside the Fibres nightclub on Lower Briggate.

Luke Boyes, aged 19, of Cross Flatts Mount, Beeston, was remanded in custody to an unknown date at Leeds Magistrates' Court in connection with the death.

Mr Kerr was injured outside the nightclub on Friday evening.
