Forster Community College opens fundraising restaurant

A college in West Yorkshire which saw £1m of government funding cut from its budget has opened a city centre restaurant to raise money.

Forster Community College in Bradford trains 3,000 of the most underprivileged people in the city.

About 20 students will be employed at the Bradford city centre restaurant to prepare and serve food while attempting to gain a qualification.

Managers admit the move is "a big risk" after investing the college's savings in the business.
