South Asian family roots rediscovered online


People of south Asian origin in the UK who have lost touch with relatives living abroad are being offered a helping hand to find them online.

Saima Mir, a Bradford-based journalist, created free website after she faced difficulties investigating her own family roots.

Ms Mir said it was difficult for people of South Asian origin in the UK to trace relatives - whether living or dead - due to a lack of birth, marriage and death records.
