Driver and horses die Sowerby Bridge crash

A man and two horses have died in a car crash in West Yorkshire.

The vehicle struck the animals on the A58 at the junction of Baitings Road and Rochdale Road in Sowerby Bridge at about 05:40 BST.

The driver of the Saab died in the crash and police said it was possible the animals had been let out of their enclosure.

Witnesses or anyone with information are being asked to contact West Yorkshire Police.
