Bilal Khizar death: Man charged over boy's death

Bilal Raffey Khizar Bilal was crossing the road when he was killed

A 21-year-old man has been charged with causing the death by dangerous driving of a 12-year-old boy in Bradford.

Bilal Khizar was on a crossing near Asda on Rooley Lane when he was hit by a car at 19:00 BST on Saturday.

The man also faces charges of perverting the course of justice and other road traffic offences, said West Yorkshire Police.

A 21-year-old woman has also been charged with perverting the course of justice in relation to the incident.

Both are due to appear before magistrates in Bradford on Wednesday.
