Robert Cordingley admits murdering his father

A man has admitted murdering his father at their West Yorkshire home.

Robert Cordingley, 56, of Bingley Road, Shipley, admitted killing his father, George, when he appeared at Bradford Crown Court.

West Yorkshire Police searched the house in January where the body of the 91-year-old was found.

Cordingley's barrister asked for medical reports to be prepared. The 56-year-old will be sentenced at Newcastle Crown Court on 15 October.
