Bradford man held over Clement Desmier death

A man has been arrested on suspicion of murdering a 68-year-old man who was found dead in his West Yorkshire home, police said.

The body of Clement Desmier, known as Butch, was found at his house in Rowlestone Rise, Ravenscliffe, Bradford, at 16:00 BST on Thursday.

A post-mortem examination revealed he died from multiple injuries.

Police said a 30-year-old Bradford man was arrested over the weekend and remains in custody.

Police and the ambulance service went to Mr Desmier's home after a neighbour entered the house due to concerns for his safety. His body was found inside.

Witnesses reported seeing two men outside Mr Desmier's home at about 03:00 BST on Thursday and detectives have appealed for help in tracing the men.

Posters have also been put up on the Ravenscliffe estate appealing for information about Mr Desmier's death.
