Horsforth man suffers serious head injuries in assault

A man is being treated in hospital for serious head injuries after being attacked at his home in West Yorkshire.

The incident happened in Low Lane, Horsforth, at about 21:20 BST on Saturday when the 36-year-old responded to three men knocking on his door.

He was assaulted by the men, described as African Caribbean, before they ran off down Low Lane, said police.

The victim suffered head injuries and was taken to hospital in Leeds where he is said to be in a serious condition.

Anyone with information is asked to contact police.
