Joshua Hirst stab murder: Two men in court

Two men have been charged with the murder of a 20-year-old man in West Yorkshire.

Joshua Hirst, of Mirfield, died in hospital from stab wounds after being found in Hepworth Lane, Mirfield, on Friday night.

Joe Church, 18, of Redlands Close, Mirfield, and Arron Smith, 21, of Saville Street, Emley, appeared at Huddersfield Magistrates' Court on Tuesday.

They were remanded in custody to appear at Leeds Crown Court on Thursday.

A third man, aged 21, is still being questioned on suspicion of murder.

A 22-year-old woman also remains in custody and is being questioned by police for allegedly assisting an offender.

Detectives are appealing for anyone with information to contact them.
