Two men held over murder of Leeds man missing since 2010
Two men have been arrested on suspicion of murdering a West Yorkshire man who went missing more than 18 months ago.
Joseph Shann has not been seen since 10 December 2010 when he left his sister's house on Ecclesburn Street, East End Park, Leeds.
Despite police efforts to trace him, there have been no confirmed sightings since that time.
Two men, aged 39 and 45, from Leeds, were arrested earlier on suspicion of murder and are in custody, police said.
On the day he went missing, police said Mr Shann withdrew just over £100 from his bank account at the Vicar Lane branch of Barclays to buy Christmas presents.
Analysis of the bank account has shown there has been no further activity since then, despite additional funds being available later that month.
Det Ch Insp Jon Morgan, from the Homicide and Major Enquiry Team, leading the investigation, said: "It is now over a year and a half since Joseph was last seen and we are increasingly concerned for his well being.
"Officers have never let up in the search for Joseph but I still need more information."
