Marsden death: Two men remanded over teenager's murder

Two men have been remanded in custody after appearing in court charged with the murder of a teenager stabbed to death in West Yorkshire.

Luke Elliot, 21 of Main Avenue, Cowlersley and Anthony Driver, 36 of Grange Cottages, Marsden, appeared at Huddersfield Magistrates' Court.

The pair were remanded to appear at Leeds Crown Court on Wednesday.

Craig Hepburn, 19, from Renfrewshire, was attacked in Marsden in the early hours of Saturday and died in hospital.

Mr Elliot and Mr Driver are also charged with the attempted murder of Mr Hepburn's 18-year-old friend, also from Renfrewshire.

He remains in hospital in a serious condition.

Police officers were called to reports of an attack in the Old Mount Road area of Marsden shortly after midnight on Saturday.

Det Supt Paul Taylor, the officer in charge of the investigation, earlier said the teenagers had been visiting relatives in Marsden.
