Monarch Airlines creates 200 Leeds Bradford Airport jobs
Monarch Airlines has announced it is creating 200 new jobs at Leeds Bradford Airport.
The company said it would be operating an additional 12 routes from its new base at the airport from March.
John Parkin, the airport's chief executive, said the airline's announcement was "tremendous news" for the region.
He said the investment would provide "significant benefits to the local economy" as well as creating new jobs
The airline said its new routes were to Antalya, Bodrum and Dalaman in Turkey; Rome; Larnaca in Cyprus; Faro in Portugal; Lanzarote and Tenerife in the Canary Islands; Majorca and Menorca in the Balearic Islands; Heraklion in Crete, and Barcelona.
It is also continuing its route to Munich.
