Marsden murder: One dead in double stabbing

A 19-year-old man has died and another man, aged 18, is in a serious condition in hospital after they were stabbed in West Yorkshire.

The pair were attacked in the early hours of Saturday in Marsden, near Huddersfield.

Both men were taken to Huddersfield Royal Infirmary where the older victim died from his injuries.

Two men, aged 36 and 21, have been arrested in connection with the stabbing, police said.

West Yorkshire Police said they were called by the ambulance service at 00:12 BST.

Det Supt Paul Taylor, from the force, said: "I am keen to speak to anyone who witnesses these assaults.

"Marsden is a close-knit community and if anyone hears any rumours about what has happened then I would ask them to get in touch."
