CCTV images of people risking their lives by crossing railway tracks in Leeds station have been released as part of a safety campaign.

Network Rail have released the videos to highlight the danger of people trespassing on the railway.

Phil Verster, route managing director for Network Rail, said: "We all know that young people - especially young men - think they are invincible."

Network Rail said in the last 10 years 88% of trespass fatalities involved men.

In 2011-12 train drivers reported 48 near misses with people on the lines in Yorkshire alone.
