Man accused of Wakefield girls' murders remanded

An 18-year-old man accused of murdering two teenagers in Wakefield has been remanded in custody by a judge.
Ahmad Otak, of Linton Road, Wakefield, appeared via video link at Leeds Crown Court over the deaths of Kimberley Frank, 17, and Samantha Sykes, 18.
The teenagers were stabbed at a flat in Barden Road, Eastmoor, on Saturday.
Mr Otak, who is also accused of kidnap and false imprisonment and possession of a knife, will next appear at the court on 21 March.
Post-mortem examinations carried out on Sunday revealed Miss Frank, who lived in Barden Road, and Miss Sykes, from Horbury, also in West Yorkshire, died as a result of stab wounds.
