Man remanded in Wakefield boy murder case

A man charged with murdering a five-year-old boy in West Yorkshire has been remanded in custody.

Pazeer Ahmed, 34, of Aberford Road, Wakefield, appeared before the city's magistrates earlier.

He was told he must remain in custody until appearing at Leeds Crown Court on 30 January.

The child has not been formally identified. He died after being found at a house in Aberford Road, Wakefield, at about 11:40 GMT on Monday.
