Preparations for Leeds West Indian Carnival

Final preparations are being made for the 44th Leeds West Indian Carnival.

A crowd of about 100,000 is expected to line the streets of Chapeltown and Harehills on Bank Holiday Monday for the parade

There had been concerns the carnival might be cancelled because of recent disorder but the organisers insist the show will go on.
