Two women held over Bradford lane deaths

Shahbzada Muhammed Imran and Ahmedin Sayed Khyel were found dead by the roadside

Detectives investigating the killing of two men whose bodies were found at a roadside have arrested two women in West Yorkshire over the deaths.

The men were found dead on New Lane, Tong, in Bradford, on Tuesday night. Both suffered serious head injuries.

They have been named as Shahbzada Muhammed Imran, 27, from Bradford, and Ahmedin Sayed Khyel, 35, from London.

The two woman, aged 63 and 26, were arrested at an address in Leeds Road, Bradford, on suspicion of murder.

Forensic teams are working at a separate address in Heath Terrace in the city as part of the investigation.

'Men left house'

Detectives have revealed that a vehicle that may have been involved in the case has been recovered in the Whetley Lane area of Bradford.

West Yorkshire Police said Mr Imran was also known as Imran Khan in the Gloucester Avenue area where he lived.

Det Supt Dick Nuttall added: "We now know that both men left the house on Gloucester Avenue at around 8pm on Tuesday evening.

"They were together and on foot. I am appealing for anyone who saw the men in the area at this time to contact us so that we can piece together their movements in the period before their death."

West Yorkshire Police said no weapons had been found and they were investigating whether the men had been attacked elsewhere and then moved.

Police said they were not linking the two deaths to a third body which was discovered about 545 yards (500m) away on Thursday.

Firefighters found the third body burning in a bonfire on Holme Lane.

Two men aged 32 and 39 have been arrested on suspicion of murder in relation to the discovery of the third body.
