Man before Leeds magistrates on murder charge

A man has appeared in court charged with the murder of a 48-year-old Leeds man.

Ian Michael Farley, 51, of Moortown, appeared before Leeds magistrates accused of killing of Glen Russell.

Mr Russell's body was discovered by police at a property on Bayswater Grove in the Harehills area of Leeds at 1250 BST on Monday.

Mr Farley was remanded in custody. He is due before Leeds Crown Court on 6 September.

Two men aged 46 and 39 were also arrested but have since been released without charge.
