Woman, 87, hit by car in Tramway pub car park dies

An 87-year-old woman has died after being hit by a car in a pub car park in Lancashire.

Enid Farrington, from Cleveleys, was struck by a Vauxhall Astra in the Tramway pub car park on Victoria Road West, Cleveleys on Saturday.

Police said it was initially thought she had suffered a minor injury to her hip but she was later found to have suffered a broken femur.

Her condition deteriorated and she died in hospital on Sunday, police said.

Lancashire Constabulary has appealed for witnesses to contact them.
