Blackpool schoolgirl park rape accused appears in court

A man accused of raping a 15-year-old girl in a park in Lancashire has denied the charge.

Blake Richens, Bond Street, Blackpool, appeared at Preston Crown Court and pleaded not guilty to one count of rape and another of sexual assault.

Mr Richens, 22, was remanded in custody following the hearing and is scheduled to face trial on 14 July.

He is accused of attacking the girl in Claremont Park, Blackpool on 24 January this year.
