Man accused of multiple stabbing murder in Rawtenstall

A man has been charged with murdering a woman who was found stabbed to death in Lancashire.

Paul O'Hara, 41, of Honiton Close, Heywood, Greater Manchester is accused of murdering Cherylee Shennan, 40, on Monday in Rawtenstall.

Ms Shennan was found mid-afternoon on Hardman Avenue and died at the scene. A post mortem examination revealed that she died of multiple stab wounds.

Mr O'Hara was remanded in custody by Burnley Magistrates Court.
