Two-year-old Blackpool girl dies: Four arrested

Four people have been arrested on suspicion of child neglect after a two-year-old girl died in Lancashire.

Police and paramedics were called to Jameson Road in Blackpool about 23:45 GMT on Tuesday to a report that the girl had suffered a cardiac arrest.

She was taken to Blackpool Victoria Hospital where she died.

Two women aged 29 and 65 and two men aged 41 and 60, all from Blackpool, remain in custody for questioning.

A post-mortem examination will be carried out to establish the cause of her death.
