A stand-off has ended at a flat in Burnley where a woman was allegedly being held against her will by a man armed with a knife.

A negotiator had been sent to the flat in Escott Gardens, Daneshouse, where the siege began at 16:30 GMT on Monday.

A force spokeswoman said a 20-year-old man and a boy, 15, had been arrested on suspicion of false imprisonment

She said the incident had ended with a "peaceful conclusion" and added the woman left the house unharmed.
