Two held in Blackpool and Manchester child sex inquiry

Police have arrested a 34-year-old man and 16-year-old boy in Blackpool as part of an investigation into child sexual exploitation.

The man is being held on suspicion of sexual activity with a child. The boy was arrested on suspicion of inciting sexual activity with a child.

Four addresses were searched in Blackpool and one in Manchester.

Det Insp Gareth Willis said: "We are at the early stages of our inquiry and we are working closely with the victim."

He added: "We are also investigating the possibility that there could potentially be other victims who have not yet felt able to report anything to the police."

The searches were carried out at Salcombe Avenue, Springfield Road, Banks Street and Lord Street in Blackpool and Fairhaven Street, Gorton in Manchester.
