Chorley man Nazo Brahenaj jailed after rape conviction

Nazo Brahenaj Nazo Brahenaj was sentenced to five years and put on the sex offenders register for life

A man has been jailed for rape after a trial at Preston Crown Court.

Nazo Brahenaj, 21, of no fixed address, was sentenced to five years on Thursday and placed on the sex offenders register indefinitely.

The rape was committed in the early hours of 19 May at Brahenaj's home address at the time in Chorley, Lancashire Police said.

Det Con Ian Marsh praised the victim in giving evidence, adding: "This dangerous man is now off the streets."
