Murder charge over Lancaster stabbing

A 52-year-old man has been charged with murder after a man was killed in Lancaster, police said.

Paul McDonagh, 30, was found dead at the back of St James Court at about 13:30 GMT on 29 October.

Police initially treated the death as "non-suspicious" but post-mortem tests revealed he had been stabbed.

Bernard McSorley, of no fixed address, will appear at Preston Crown Court on Monday.
