Elderly couple robbed at knifepoint in Bispham home

An elderly couple have been robbed at knifepoint in an "alarming and nasty attack" in their home, police said.

Police said two offenders climbed through a kitchen window at the couple's home in Blackpool Road, Bispham, on Wednesday evening.

The men took knives from a kitchen drawer and threw one of the occupants, a man in his mid-80s, to the floor before demanding money.

They then escaped with £1,500 and a watch, leaving the victims "shaken".
