Two questioned over 'assault 'of baby girl in Blackpool

Two people have been arrested after a 10-week-old baby girl was taken to hospital with injuries in Lancashire.

Police said they were told of the child's injuries after she was admitted to Blackpool Victoria Hospital on Sunday and an investigation began.

A 25-year-old man and a 21-year-old woman, both from Fleetwood, were arrested at the hospital on Monday.

They are being questioned on suspicion of assault and sexual activity in the presence of a child.
