Police have released CCTV images of four men wanted in connection with a burglary at Fleetwood Town Football Club.

Two safes and a TV were stolen at the Highbury Stadium on Highbury Avenue, Fleetwood between 20:00 GMT 26 and 08:00 on 27 January.

Police said an angle-grinder, crowbars and a hammer were used in the robbery.

A 41-year-old man from Fleetwood arrested on suspicion of burglary has been bailed pending further inquiries.

'Heart of the community'

The images show the men carrying a safe along a corridor, with one raider wearing a red and white scarf - the same colours as those sported by Fleetwood Town.

Three of the intruders were dressed in dark clothing with their faces covered and one man wore a high-visibility jacket.

Det Insp Phil Jones said: "This is a crime which has affected the heart of the local community, targeting the popular and successful local football club and we urge the community to work with the police to find the offenders who have committed this crime."

Police have declined to comment on how much money was in the safes.
