Elderly woman who died after Rishton fire named
Sheila Sowerbutts was rescued from the house but later died.
An elderly woman who died after she was rescued from a fire at her house in Lancashire has been named.
Sheila Sowerbutts, 83, was rescued from the ground floor of the semi-detached house in Cliff Street, Rishton, at 03:59 GMT on December 26.
A 52-year-old man was rescued from the first floor of the house and a 53-year-old man escaped but was treated for smoke inhalation.
The cause of the fire is not believed to be suspicious.
An investigation into how it started is ongoing.
