Blackpool alley death suspect charged with murder

A man has been charged with murdering a man who was found seriously injured in a Blackpool alleyway.

James Whitelaw, 46, originally from Glasgow, was found behind Regent Road, on 23 November.

He was taken to hospital but died five days later. A post-mortem examination showed he died after being hit on the head with a blunt object.

Jack Tindall, 21, of Bedford Road has been charged with his murder and is due before Blackpool magistrates on Monday.

Two other people arrested in connection with his death have been released without charge.
