Murder charge over Blackburn head injury death

A man has been charged with murder after a 32-year-old died from head injuries following an assault in Lancashire.

Michael Cocker, 26, of Fielding Crescent, Blackburn, has been remanded to appear before the town's magistrates on Monday morning.

Thomas Hill was found unconscious at an address in Fielding Crescent, Blackburn, at 11:15 GMT on Tuesday.

He died of his injuries in hospital on Saturday, police said.

A 42-year-old man, arrested on suspicion of wounding, has been released without charge.
