Blackburn fatal bungalow fire inquiries continue

Investigations are continuing into a fatal fire at a detached bungalow in Blackburn, Lancashire.

An elderly man, who police believe to be Christopher Proctor, 88, died in the blaze on Pleckgate Road which started at about 03:45 GMT on Saturday.

His family have been informed. A post-mortem examination will be carried out to establish how he died.

Police are working with Lancashire Fire Service on the investigation. The cause of the fire is currently unexplained.
