Flooded fields damage Lancashire potato harvests
A potato farmer from Lancashire has said flooding and heavy rain during the summer has resulted in a poor potato harvest.
The Cropper family from Aughton normally produce 6,000 tonnes of potatoes a year, but say this year's crop is down by about 50%.
They are warning that prices in the shops will go up over the next few weeks because thousands of tonnes of potatoes will have to be thrown away or ploughed back into fields.
