Boy, 6, meets footballing heroes

A 6-year-old boy from Thornton Cleveleys is celebrating meeting his favourite footballer players.

Deakon Beavers was given a 5% chance of survival when he was born with HLH, a rare blood disorder, and underwent a bone marrow transplant to fight leukaemia when he was four months old.

He is spending the day at Blackpool Football Club watching the players train, before leading the team out against Huddersfield.
