Arrest after gunshots fired at Thornton house

A 38-year-old man has been arrested after gunshots were fired at a Lancashire home.

Police said it was believed two shots were fired at the front of the address in Rockville Avenue, Thornton, at about 04:50 BST.

One occupant suffered minor injuries caused as a result of broken glass.

The man is being held on suspicion of possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life. Police described it as an "isolated incident".
