Two charged over 'violent attack' on man in Colne

Two men have been charged with attacking a man who was left with serious head injuries in Lancashire.

The 28-year-old victim was found in the park area near Hawley Street in Colne at about 03:30 BST on Saturday.

Police said he had suffered a "violent and sustained assault" and was taken to the Royal Preston Hospital.

Two men, aged 19 and 21, both from Nelson, have both been charged with wounding with intent and will appear before Burnley Magistrates later.
