Two men have been charged with murdering a man whose body was found on a beach in Blackpool.

The local man, who was aged in his 40s but has not been named, was found between the town's Central and South piers in the early hours of Saturday.

Colin Dugdale, 27, of Lytham Road, and Paul Thompson, 43, of Woodfield Road, both Blackpool, were remanded to appear at Preston Crown Court on 20 June.

A third man, aged 38, who was arrested, has been released without charge.
