Tony Blackburn sings in Blackburn for BBC Radio 2
Broadcaster Tony Blackburn has performed his 1971 single Chop Chop live in a small theatre in Blackburn as part of a BBC Radio 2 show.
It was the first time he had performed the song in 40 years. He was accompanied by fellow DJ Mark Radcliffe on percussion and a host of fans provided backing vocals for the chorus.
The 6 Music presenter said he did not remember Blackburn's single as it was not the sort of song he was listening to in 1971.
Blackburn was performing in the town to help the BBC station celebrate 2DAY 2012, which saw DJs move around the usual schedule and sit on each other's shows.
