Chorley man dies on M6 motorway near to Lostock Hall

A man died when he was struck by a car on the southbound carriageway of the M6 in Lancashire.
A silver Ford Focus hit the man, who was on lane one of the motorway, at about 03:50 GMT.
The man, in his early 30s from the Chorley area, was pronounced dead at the scene, Lancashire Police said.
The motorway was closed for five hours at junction 29 close to Lostock Hall. Police have appealed for any witnesses to come forward.
