Blackburn men bailed over suspicious death

Two men who were arrested by detectives investigating the suspicious death of a man in Blackburn have been bailed.

Lancashire Police were alerted to the death of the 56-year-old man by staff at Royal Blackburn Hospital, who believed he may have been assaulted.

An investigation was started and two men were arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm with intent.

The pair were released on bail after results of a post-mortem examination proved inconclusive.

Further tests will now be carried out in an attempt to establish how the man died.
